How do we replace the eyeglass hinges?

We will replace the broken plastic hinges with sterling hinges in the following steps:

  1. Remove the temples: Remove the temples from both sides of the frame so we can easily remove the hinges. Also, we can identify the shape of the plastic hinges and find similar sterling hinges for replacement.
  2. Remove the hinges: With the help of tweezers, remove the plastic hinges from the temples.
  3. Replace the plastic hinges with sterling hinges: Grip the sterling hinges with the tweezers and position them in the hole where the plastic hinges were removed.
  4. Temples re-attach: Fit the temples to the frames with a small screwdriver.
